I spent alot of time taking photos of the birds in my backyard yesterday (October 7 2011). I rarely see warblers in my backyard, but today I found 2 species in 1 day!
The first warbler specie was the Orange-crowned Warbler. There were at least 2 hanging around my backayard all day. One of the two even visited my bird bath, but I only noticed him there a second before he took off so I did not get a photo of him there. I did get a few photos of him earlier in the day though:

The second warbler specie that was in my backyard today was the Yellow-rumped Warbler. There was at least one in my yard but only for a few minutes. The Yellow-rumped was busy catching insects.
Edit: There were at least 3 in my backyard this morning (October 8 2011)

I saw many other birds yesterday in my yard other than warblers. One of those birds was the White-crowed Sparrow. There have been at least 2 in my backyard in the past week. Last year I saw around 2 the whole winter, but it looks like there are going to be more White-crowned Sparrows this year.

Every winter, I also get Song Sparrows in my backyard. Yesterday there was one hanging around in the afternoon. It is the first one I have seen in my backyard this season.

The Juncos are back in big numbers. At the start of the day, they let would not let me get withen 10 feet from them. By the end of the day they had gotten so used to me being there they came withen 3 feet. One of the juncos had a longer tail than the others and was missing a tail feather. He was really bossy and was chasing away all the other Juncos and Orange-crowed Warblers.
